The German Foundation for Monument Protection promotes the preservation and protection of our architectural heritage through targeted public relations work. The success of the Monument Open Day, coordinated by the German Foundation for Monument Protection nationwide, demonstrates the enormous interest the public has in preserving its architectural environment and in finding an access to history that turns it into a concrete experience. The overriding task is to position monument protection in the public discussion and lend it the importance that it deserves.
